The Pope and those that call Him Holy Father

As a young man born and raised in Cape Town - South Africa I was intensely exposed to religion from two different angles . My Father who was catholic and my mother who was Dutch reformed. Needless to say I was always involved in some kind of disagreement, whether it was politics or church. What I can say however is that after my salvation I could more clearly understand that there is but one truth in the Word of God. The church in this hour needs to clearly "discern" what is from God and what is not. In the light of what I have just said and what I see in the Word of God , it is sad to see and hear of megaministries that suddenly feel the need to align themselves with the Pope of the Roman Catholic church. Unless the Pope publicly denounces all teaching and doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church and confesses that Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and redemption through His Blood I will never agree that there should be any affiliation between a born again believer and those that blatantly oppose sound doctrine. From such I will turn away and pray that God will have mercy upon them. I am warning those that are prepared to listen to stay away from such arguments that would try to draw you into subtle denial of your own TRUE conviction. Christ has redeemed us not to be entangled in a web of deceit and lies . The schemes and strategies of the devil is to deceive through "wolves in sheep's clothing" Never be afraid to take a stand - God is faithful!

Grace to live right

once saved always saved ? This statement is not scriptural and can easily create a wrong perception that we can live as we please .I am sure that somewhere in christian circles you would have heard this statement.The fact is that the Word of God clearly states that we ought to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.We are saved by " grace " it is the gift of God ( salvation is a gift from God ) eph. 2:8 (kjv) There is so much preaching going on about the grace of God and the truth is you cannot preach grace without putting the fear of God in there with it. Grace is not a license for us to live as we please and do whatever we want to . Yes the blood of Jesus has cleansed us from all unrighteousness , but the blood has also brought us nigh unto Him , the Holy and Almighty God whom we should fear with a holy fear that shuns the very appearance of evil as Paul said.The fact is that many of God's people want only to hear about the Grace and the Goodness of God. There are many sides to God. Yes God is love but He is also Holy and righteous. We only have one life here on this earth and it is God's mercy that we are alive and have the privelige to speak to people about Jesus and all that He has done for us.

The Power of Praise !

Praise God , Praise God ,Praise God. No matter what the natural says , no matter the economy , no matter your bank account balance , no matter what your feelings say , no matter what the doctors  report says ...... Start praising God with your mouth and lift your hands to heaven with a shout of thankfulness and an attitude of gratitude just because Jesus lives !!  Praise will send the demons fleeing and cause the Angelic host to jump into action . Praise will open doors , break yokes and destroy burdens. Praise is one of the highest forms of expressing our faith in the Almighty God. Praise changes the atmosphere and brings restoration. Whenever God's people start to praise , something good will happen ! Praise God!!
